Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before installing or using the mac.bid Overlay Chrome Extension ("the Extension"). By installing or using the Extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.
1. Description of Service
mac.bid Overlay is a Chrome browser extension that provides price comparison and cost calculation tools for mac.bid auction lots. The Extension retrieves pricing data from third-party sources and displays it alongside lot information to help users make informed purchasing decisions.
The Extension is provided as-is and for informational purposes only. It is not a financial advisory tool, and no information provided by the Extension should be considered financial advice or a guarantee of value.
2. Not Affiliated with mac.bid
mac.bid Overlay is an independent third-party tool developed by an individual developer ("the Developer"). It is:
- Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to mac.bid, GovDeals, or any of their parent companies, subsidiaries, or affiliates.
- Not an official product of or sponsored by mac.bid or any related entity.
The name "mac.bid" is used solely to describe the Extension's compatibility with the mac.bid website. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
3. Price Data Disclaimer
All price data displayed by the Extension is provided for informational purposes only.
- Prices sourced from Amazon, eBay, and other third-party services may not reflect current, accurate, or complete pricing information.
- Historical price data from CamelCamelCamel is provided by a third party and may be incomplete or delayed.
- Price calculations (including buyer's premium, lot fees, tax, and profit estimates) are based on the settings you configure and may not reflect actual costs.
- The Developer is not responsible for any purchasing decisions, financial losses, or other consequences arising from reliance on data displayed by the Extension.
You are solely responsible for verifying pricing information before making any purchasing decisions.
4. Price of the Extension
The Extension is provided free of charge. There is no paid tier, subscription, or in-app purchase at this time. If a paid tier is introduced in the future, it will be announced in advance and these Terms will be updated accordingly.
5. Acceptable Use
By using the Extension, you agree to the following:
- Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Extension beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
- Do not use the Extension for automated scraping, data mining, or any purpose that violates mac.bid's terms of service.
- Do not redistribute, resell, or make the Extension available outside the official Chrome Web Store listing.
- Do not use the Extension in any manner that is unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent.
Violation of these terms may result in termination of your access to the Extension.
6. Intellectual Property
The Extension's code, design, user interface, branding, and all associated materials are the intellectual property of the Developer and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
User-submitted feature requests, bug reports, and feedback may be used by the Developer to improve the Extension without obligation or compensation.
7. Limitation of Liability
THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

- The Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Extension.
- The Developer shall not be liable for any damages arising from inaccurate price data, unavailability of third-party services, or interruptions to the Extension's functionality.
- The Developer's total liability for any claim arising from use of the Extension shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Extension, which for the free Extension is zero.
8. Termination
- The Developer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension or any of its features at any time, with or without notice.
- You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it.
- The Developer may terminate or suspend your access to the Extension if you violate these Terms.
9. Changes to These Terms
The Developer may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution mechanisms available under applicable law.
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
